One of the Wismer family’s properties, the Glen Elgin vineyard in Vineland was planted in 1996 with clone 115. It’s adjacent to the Homestead vineyard, which is also bottled by Cloudsley Cellars as a single-vineyard Pinot Noir. Glen Elgin presents itself as the richer and riper expression. It grabs your attention by making the most of its fleshy core of ripe cherry fruit, which is accented nicely by spice and savoury notes and underscored by bright acidity.
