Produced from tempranillo grown in 50-year-old vineyards, aged in new oak barrels produced with American oak staves and French oak barrel heads for nine months. Oak-derived coffee and cedar notes are evident on the aromatic nose, alongside ripe cherry and plum. The palate is nicely concentrated, with a core of ripe and bright fruit and mushroom, vanilla and leather notes that add complexity. Gripping tannins throughout. Drink now to 2027. (90/100)
