A nice contrast to the top-of-the-line Civility Chardonnay, 16 Mile's 2014 Rebel delivers a ripe, rich and concentrated character. It's a style with immediate appeal thanks to an abundance of attractive fleshy fruit that glows in the glass. Coming from a single vineyard on the Beamsville Bench, the fruit was hand picked and sorted before pressing. The utmost winemaking TLC continued with fermentation with indigenous yeast in large format (300 litre) barrels and 19 months of aging, adding to the texture and complexity. Great value. 260 cases.
